Boris Pramatarov (1989) was born in Sofia, Bulgaria. He has finished Book and Graphic Design in Bulgarian National Academy of Art and specialized Illustration in Hogeschool voor Wetenschap and Kunst, Sint-Lucas Beeldende Kunst, Gent, Belgium and Duksung Women's University, Seoul, South Korea.
Finalist of the 2010-2011 Raymond Leblanc Award, with the comic project “Eloge à l’Internet”, he participates to the collective album for the top five winners edited by Lombard Publishers and the exhibition of the finalists at Moof Museum, Brussels, Belgium (September 2011-March 2012). His first solo exhibition “Water Colors” (May 29 - June 2, 2006) wins a First Prize of Debuts Gallery for the best exhibition for the season 2005-2006; his second solo exhibition “The Metamorphosis” (silligraphs and water colors illustrating Franz Kafka’s works) takes place at Debuts Gallery, Sofia, June 23 – July 6, 2008. His third solo exhibition “Tormentor” (drawings for the art book “My Demons”, made in Korea) takes place at Hip Hip Atelier, Sofia (February 2012).
“Postindustrial” (2015) is his first animated film based on original poem by Kaloyan Pramatarov. The film is part of the visual poetry project MARK&VERSE, produced by Compote Collective.
